Rick Upchurch

Born May 20, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio to George & Juanita Upchurch.
Second of eight children
Raised in Holland, Ohio by his beloved Grandparents Louis & Beatrice Lindsey.
Rick experienced hardship at a very young age. His grandmother, Beatrice died when Rick was in the sixth grade, leaving his grandfather to raise a very spirited young man.Then when Rick was a junior in high school, his “Rock”, his grandfather died of cancer, leaving Rick to tend for himself.
Some very important people were instrumental in Rick’s life after that point. Two families in particular, one a black couple, Hubert & Marion Bolden. The other a white couple, Howard & Marge Warner. Race was never a issue in Holland, Ohio. Along with support & help from all his friends….he made it! To this very day, all these people hold a very special place in Rick’s Heart. He visits Holland regularly and will never forget the people that mean so very, very much to him!
Married to the most beautiful woman in the world Donna Upchurch, who is not only his right arm….but his left!
Has 4 beautiful children, sons Diallo & Sharif and daughters Eboni & Asia. Also has stepson DeErick. He is proud of each and every one of them!
